Marked up with the success of the film "Race" [2008] the producers and directors are all set to churn out the sequel "Race 2". The sequel is said to be in the scripting stages and would be ready for the shoot later this year by director Abbas-Masstan duo who directed "Race".
As for the star cast some of the leading actors would be repeated in the sequel "Race 2" too; whereas Katrina may not find a place in the sequel. Instead Kareena Kapoor will take play the lead role alongside Saif Ali Khan. Katrina Kaif's exit from the sequel is seemed to be justified on the ground that her character dies in the original "Race".
Saif Ali Khan who is all the more elated to work with his lady-love Kareena Kapoor says, 'he is thrilled by the idea of working with Bebo in "Race 2" which would be slicker, faster and more thrilling and upgraded in a much bigger way'.
However Katrina is busy with six of her upcoming movies "Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani", "De Dhana Dhan", "Rajneeti", "Rave Party", "New York" and "Blue".
